I'm the passionate kind, whatever the topic is, be it nuclear physics, coffee or opera. I usually live and travel with the coolest person I know: Flo.
Things I like :
art, humanities, science, trains, board games, guitars, linux, pizza, architecture, travels, beer, wine, cheese.
PHILOSOPHY
"Act only according to that maxim whereby you can at the same time will that it should become a universal law." Immanuel Kant
"You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes you might find, you get what you need" Mick Jagger
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I surfed since 2004. I was kinda unable to host for years as I was living in a 9m² room. I'd like to host more now, maybe help organizing some CS events.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I surfed a place named the Cracktory in San Francisco when I was 18, good times. I don't expect much from CSers, but I'm amazed every time.
Also, I have this thumb rule: meeting a couchsurfer twice in two different countries makes him/her a friend for life.
Interests
Materials science, it's tangible science, pushing technological limits to give solid answers to everyday problems. I can talk about it for hours, just ask.
Science in general, I'm kind of a geek, I become annoying sometime, just tell me to shut up.
Well, music is very important to me, it uses about 24% of my brain time. I play the guitar and the bass. My influences are diverse, but I'm kinda stuck in time between 1967 and 1976... I've been known to own an extensive collection of music DVDs. It started after my hard-drive crashed 12 years ago.
Board-games.
Cybernetics.
Also, terraforming.

Music, Movies, and Books
Films: Dr. Mabuse, Vertigo, The Deer Hunter, Dr. Strangelove, Barry Lyndon, The Godfather II, Last Days, Mulholland Drive, Almost Famous, Taxi Driver, Days of Heaven, Stranger Than Paradise, Into the Wild, Lost in Translation, obscure French films, etc.
I also have a thing for dystopian, uchronian and anticipation genres.
Music: recently I've been stuck on ambient/neo-classical music such as Eluvium, Ólafur Arnalds, Nils Frahm, Windy and Carl, Stars of the Lid, Apparat, Steve Reich, Brian Eno, Max Richter... but also classics like Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Jane's Addiction, Elliott Smith, Pearl Jam, Rancid, Tool, Duke Ellington, Television, Roy Harper, My Bloody Valentine, Metric, Velvet Underground, Silversun Pickups, Smashing Pumpkins, etc. Really, anything from Coltrane to Morbid Angel. Someone said I like "edgy" music.

I can share with you my knowledge of the Parisian public transport system, and my music collection.
