ABOUT ME

I love to travel and volunteer which keeps me on the move a lot. I try to be a minimalist with my life and would be happy with nothing really. Well actually I would hope for some clothes and shoes for the journey. You really don't need much to survive and be happy. I am a happy guy all the of time pretty much unless I stub my toe, then there is about 3 seconds where I am not so happy. I used to live in my van off and on for years during the summers in the North to help save money to fund trips. I came to the States to volunteer and train with a disaster relief group based in Kansas. When I am not doing anything with them, I have been spending my time in Missouri at International House of Prayer. I have been living in my car on the Missouri side so that I don't have to drive back and forth all the time because its killer on the wallet. I gave up a real nice house with the founder of the group because I want to start taking some classes here on Aug 13. I can not afford to go back and forth and I really don't mind the car.

PHILOSOPHY

I live for Jesus but I am not in your face about it because its my relationship. I want to learn and experience as much as I can while I am here. I want to travel for the rest of my life and hope that I don't slow down.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

How I will participate is spread the word more because I heard about this years ago and never helped it spread then. I think that its great and when I get a place it will always be open to people. Thats just the way we should be, help when someone needs it. We would all be so much happier and I want people to be aware of this.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

WOW, for a guy like me I have been on many couches. I travel around so much and I just hate to throw away money on rent or Hotels/hostels. There are times where you need to but its just a waste to me. That is why I bought the van, rent in the North is outrageous. I know people all over Canada and so I spend my years going back and forth visiting people and staying on their couches or in spare rooms. If I don't know a person in a town or I cant get a hold of someone then I have been known to take a park bench. As long as I feel safe then I can sleep any where because it really does not matter.

Interests

Snowboarding, traveling, meeting new people, volunteering, hiking, laying in grass, anything to do with nature is an "A" in my books, running, writing, and experiencing/learning new things.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to such a variety and love having music on in the background. I was a huge movie fan but have recently taken the approach of weeding it out so that I can read and write more.
