PHILOSOPHY

a few:

my manner of thinking so you say cannot be approved. do you suppose i care? a poor fool is he who chooses his manner of thinking to suit other people. My manner of thinking stems from my considered reflections, it hold with my existence, with the way i am made and it is not my power to alter it. Even if it were, I would not do so.

this one is my original thought but someone else said it too:
'when i die i shall have one regret: i should have drunk more champange!'

next one:
'I don't regret that I bought an expensive Champagne that I drank, only those that I did not buy and/or did not drink!'

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

currently in Oslo, looking for a job (anyrhing) left a pretty intense life and job in London which cost me a relationship so now laying low. Gardening, cleaning, decorating, babysitting, dog walking, folding evenvelopes, licking stamps (not the self adhesive ones) whatever comes my way will happily do, so that i can engage in the norwegian culture and practice the language.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

First time part this as couchsurfing.org however, been offering my couch/bed or been offered a couch or bed for the past 7 years. Pretty much all over the world (well everywhere I wanted to go).
I have a standing invitation to a friend's grey sofa in Sydney of which I availed a few times when in dire need; the most grotesque incident was when I travelled to Sydney on a transhemispheric booty call which did not materialise as expected, nevertheless the sofa was comfy. Her love of chocolate coated liquorice sticks, cream cheese and chives, Champagne, good laugh and a stimulating conversation add value. The sofa has moved along with my friend to a new house and it bears a label 'Peter's'.

When visited a friend in Vancouver I had an entire flat to myself with one minor problem; the ceiling at one point was that one bit a little too low and as much as I was cautious the whole week there, the day I was flying out I managed to bang my head; and God it hurt! The sofa, on which I retired (the difference between passing out and retiring is a pillow/cushion on which the head rests while unconscious) was so comfy that even the dog, a black Labrador, shared with me (and I had my feet warmed).

There are a lot more stories to tell...but not much space here.
