Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like the idea of CS. On the begining it was more about cheep traveling, but the international exchange idea inspire me, because I had many occasions to experience it myself before. And, however that sounds, it really can 'make the World better'...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

For a sailor it's difficuld as you are never sure where you are going to be and when. Also some meetings in Poznan, but - whoever I meet from CS he/she always appear to be great person! And that's enough.
2014 - Lately I recive many couchrequests, which I generally accept, but then I get message, that guests have other host... But I menage host a few in the years... and be guest couple of times... Still nice.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sail in small yacht form Sines (Portugal) To Szczecin (Poland) in two persons only... in October 2006. Then more and more sailing: 9 times Biscay Bay, ~ 8 across the Atlantic. I have become proffesional delivery skipper and I have stop counting. And I have seen a Whale (Fin Whale) from about 10m on Biscay bay. I have seen so many colors of sea water. I have seen night heaven full of stars and water underneath the yacht full of sparks, and sparcling magical dolphins plaing with those sparks. I have aslo heard sound of drops of dew faling from grass because of vibration of my steps in montains of Spain... I've run down the vulcano (literaly) in Fogo (Cabo Verde) with my wonderfull wife... So much of it I cannot choise one.
Update: I have sailed for 2 months with full family (3 kids) on Asores. The best trip in my life till now. Of course, many more whales, and having good contact with my sons is one of the best that ever happened to me.

Teach, Learn, Share
