Resumen
Sobre mí
CURRENT MISSION
To find the sun, the fun and lifelong happiness (with or without goldmines on the way)
ABOUT ME
I am from Italy, I went to high school in Wales, in the United World College of the Atlantic, a scholarship based school where the emphasis is given to the concept of International Understanding, meaning that everybody (at the time I was there 104 different countries were represented) spends large amounts of time discussing about their differences and similarities, about politics, the environment, ethnic issues, etc.
After completing my studies in London (UK), I went travelling around most of South-America, before moving to Slovenia. I am an aeronautical engineer, but don't worry, I won't bore you to death with the details of any airplanes. My ambition is to one day design and build my own sailing boat, and that's to me a far more interesting topic than planes. I cannot wait for my family to join me sailing one day, and that time is quickly arriving. Also, I speak 7 European languages fluently, so if any of them interests you or if you need any translation, I'll gladly help out when we meet.
PHILOSOPHY
I am a bit old fashioned in that I have a strong sense of loyalty, respect and honesty. Otherwise I would consider myself an epicurean, so I try to enjoy myself as much as the situation allows me to and up to the limit, where my fun gets in the way of someone else's well-being (which means that since I have become a father I have been doing a bit too little of the fun stuff in order to be a good father, but the kid is growing fast, so it's time to get back to some of the fun stuff, before he tells me to get lost and to stop hanging around him ;-) )
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I live with my family in Slovenska Bistrica, not far from Maribor. I used to host much more when I used to live by myself, but if I can make everything work out I can potentially host also now... only it's a little more complicated because I work far from home. My main CS activity was as a guest, travelling through Australia, until I eventually decided that I would stay there, at least for a while.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have couchsurfed Australia and as a proud "citizen of the world" I have been doing my bit of travelling and slept on a number of different couches, floors, hammocks, etc... even well before CS existed.

Enseña, aprende, comparte
Teach: I always tried to learn a bit of everything, so I think I can be of great help (only to a certain level of depth, though) in a range of subjects, from DIY to fine arts, from maths and physics to economics, from languages to travels. I would say the fields in which I can really help someone by giving him/her an in-depth view and answers to a lot of questions are: Languages and links between them, aerodynamics, some parts of maths, DIY and home improvement, sailing and naval architecture.
Learn: I love hearing interesting stories, especially ones about the origin of certain words, habits, phrases, culture. I plan to learn more languages. Otherwise I am open minded... whatever you are willing to share and teach me, I will most probably be interested in... except football (soccer), I'm allergic to the stuff since I found out, as a young kid, that I was no good at it and yet everybody only constantly asked me about it. Being an Italian and not liking/being good at football can be frustrating at times.
