ABOUT ME

I make friends with most people. I'm rather random, fun loving, and quite inquisitive...essentially I'm a large child. I like to think I'm respectful of other peoples opinions and cultures and always looking for a new perspective. I'm quite laid back and easy going. I don't enjoy coffee or beer in the slightest, they are completely wasted on me.

PHILOSOPHY

I think everyone should smile more and stress less. Also I love to share and learn and bounce ideas off people.

I love the idea and I both surf and host. I think it is such a wonderful platform for cultural exchange! While I can appreciate that free accommodation is enticing sometimes surfers treat cs a bit too much like a free hotel which I don't necessarily appreciate. If you stay with me I usually expect to hang out in the evening, share some food, learn, tell a few stories, and laugh!

When I am a guest I try to make sure I am easy to host and try and help out with conversation, entertaining myself when the host is busy, helping buy food, helping to cook and clean up.

If you stay with me please make yourself at home. If thirsty or hungry by all means help yourself to anything you want. Feel free to pitch in and help with cooking/groceries/cleaning. Everybody wins as you get to feel at home and I don't have to feel like a bed & breakfast/hotel.

Anything and Everything

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Great Barrier Reef and Grand Canyon are probably the most spectacular things I've seen in nature. Horseback riding in the Bob Marshall wilderness was absolutely amazing as was Hot Air Ballooning in Turkey. I've met tons of amazing people on my travels though and the people are always the highlight. How a place is ultimately depends on the people rather than the actual place. I got really lucky and met a bunch of locals in Australia, Greece, Argentina, Scotland and Belgium. Now couchsurfing helps me meet locals everywhere, I love it. A crazy thing I've done is once I had a stubborn contest with a cow. We both won the stubborn contest but I think it was the clear victor in the physical battle.

I'm getting pretty decent at photography. Happy to teach or take pictures for anyone. I also like to cook and am more than happy to cook for people. I can also share a basic knowledge of all sorts of random factual information, which isn't really that useful to anyone but I find it fun and interesting none the less.

Food and company! I'm happy to talk and learn about anything! I'm also happy to cook and I like to think I'm a good guest who buys food, cooks as well as cleans up after myself.
