Overview
About Me
Nobody likes describing themselves, and if they do that says a lot, hahaha!
Too gay to think straight. Queer to the bone!
I like partying. I enjoy discussing post-modern philosophy (Foucault, Deleuze, Butler) and most of political subjects just as much as I enjoy discussing RuPaul's Drag Race and the life and career of Beyoncé.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
There's no better way to meet a new place than to meet its people. CSers tend to know the best hidden spots of the city and happen to have to best stories to share.
So far I've had really good CS experiences both as a guest and as a host. but, as I worked in hostels for 3 years, I've met several CSers (or backpacking spirits in general). My guests were all unique and in the end, that's what we are all about: charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent (thanks mama Ru! :P )
Interests
I love TV shows, I guess you could say I'm a TV-geek. I'm also into comics, movies, drama, pop culture in general...
Philosophy, religion (as a cultural manifestation, not as much as a rulebook) and politics are also nice topics to discuss in a bar while drinking beer/wine/fernet.
And, as cliché as it sounds, I like people, I like to see how people react in different situations and I love listening to how they grew up, differences and similarities between our cultures, etc...
Music, Movies, and Books
-Hollywood trash amazes me but also Sofia Coppola; anything with Zach Braff or Viola Davis.
- Joss Stone, Clean Bandit, Mohandas, Rico Dalasam, SZA, Rihanna, Mika, Miranda!, Marina Sena, Tove Lo...
- Foucault, Philip Pullman, Deleuze, JK Rowling, Butler, Neil Gaiman, Zizek
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- Took part organizing LGBT Protests during a pope visit
- Met the president of Bolivia by accident
- Worked as a psychologist in some of the most vulnerable parts of Rio
- Worked in a health team directed to the homeless people of my hometown
- Street Carnaval in Rio
What I Can Share with Hosts
As a host:
Buenos Aires is a huge city and I, myself, am still discovering it. So we can explore together and I can share a few pro tips after 4 years living here.
As a guest:
We can cook together, I can also do the dishes when we share meals. I tend to be very organized when not at my home. I love chatting, but I can enjoy the silence of a nice sunset. I can teach some portuguese/spanish and my very useless special talent is to point your next favorite TV Show.
