About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am currently organising a trip to Åre in Sweden to hopefully spend the winter season in the mountains covered by snow. Me and my housemate Jack want to avoid the soggy English winter and find a real winter where we can snowboard everyday and chop wood for the stove whilst our beards freeze in the bitter cold. We both love being in nature and living a more wilderness based lifestyle.
ABOUT ME/PHILOSOPHY
Depending upon the time of year I am a keen Organic gardener, mycologist, musician, philosopher, beard grower. I am always a vegetarian (mostly Vegan) and a lover of nature and animals, I love being out in our natural environment and I never get enough trees and mountains in my life. I am at my happiest when I am up a tree up a mountain looking at more trees on other mountains!
I believe that everything is connected and whatever action we take directly reflects who we are and has a knock on effect on everything else in the world, which is why I try to live a responsible life in terms of the effects I have on our environment and to which companies I give my money to. Every time you buy a product it is as though you are voting for the company that produces that product and you are promoting it's practices whether you know what they are or not. I have a goal of being as self sustainable as possible and to be at one with nature.
I have been lucky enough to live for the last 6 years on and off in a house called the Beard Shed with my best friends. Throughout this time people have come and gone (housemates, friends and couch surfers) and the house has acted as a melting pot of ideas about the world and life and it's also been a hive of musical activity with all of us being musicians playing together and with other visitors. During this time we have developed strong ideas and philosophies about the world and how to get the most out of life whilst being responsible for our actions.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING/COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I love to surf with and host fellow surfers. It is such an amazing way to meet like minded people with local knowledge when I am travelling and when i'm not then it's great to have interesting travellers turning up on my doorstep to share experiences and ideas. It's like travelling without having to go anywhere!
