About Me

CURRENT MISSION

survive doing a PhD of maths in Germany without speaking a work of german.

ABOUT ME

I am french guy. I am about to start a 3 years PhD of Mathematics in Osnabruck after doing a Master in the wonderful Barcelona. "Ich spreche kein wort" of german but exited to learn a new language. I am from the region of the really nice city of Bordeaux where I did most of my studies, but I also studied one year in Manchester, and I was a maths teacher during two years in Paris... yes, I love travelling and living in different cities! That is a great opportunity to meet new people, culture, learn a language...

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy the life.
Try to make the world a bit better than it was before me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am registered in couchsurfing for a quite long time now, because since I have heard about it I love it. But I actually never had the occasion to really participate, did not have the possibilities to host (leaving in shared flat or on travel) and I did not need a couch until now. But I hope that will change soon!

Interests

I love traveling, meeting people, going for a run or a hike, learning and practicing languages, eating good food and drinking good beer... and I love doing maths! Yes, I know that usually sounds crazy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Paris' marathon. A few years ago I found it hard to do 4km running and then there was this challenge with some friends and I finally run those 42km! That was long and exhausting, but so great memories and actually it gives me "inspiration" in the every day life. It proved me you can always push back your own limits.
Some other crazy/stupid things I done:
-"Climb" on a church completely drunk and appreciate the view!
-Hitchhike during one night when it was around 0°C and that I could take the train!
-Do a survival trip in the mountain with no food, just the plants we found.
These last 3 things were great, really funny, and thanks!, ended well. But now I think of them with some distance, I think: "What the hell! That was actually quite dangerous!", so please children, for your own safety, don't reproduce it!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Burkina Faso, China, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Portugal, Russian Federation, Slovenia, Tunisia

Countries I’ve Lived In

France, Spain, United Kingdom
