About Me

CURRENT MISSION

You know how many great concerts there are in the world? Well I'm trying to attend them all.

ABOUT ME

We take home recycling from work because we're ecofreaks and yet, we don't mind plugging in 4 amps, an organ, and several effects pedals every night to do improv psych rock jams. We love cooking vegetarian food, but we aren't afraid to eat the dead flesh every now and then. We're geeks, but it's cool, our friends are even lamer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want people to honestly have a good time. Screw that Lonely Planet crap. You go and you actually live with a person for a few days or even a night so that you can actually get a FEEL for the area that you're staying in. Seriously, I have advocated CouchSurfing to anyone that is interested in travelling because that is the only way of actually getting to enjoy yourself without all that touristy crap.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Bong has done a bit of traveling and used CouchSurfing in order to bypass all the grief of hotels and lame tourist traps. Every person that she stayed with has shown her nothing but kindness and she feels that she's offered the same in return.

Together Bong and Chethan have hosted people because we feel that you come to experience a place. Even if you come in thinking that it's just a way stop and just a floor to crash on, we want to share a few moments with you and actually learn about your life and hope you can make new and interesting memories while you're with us.

Interests

-Music. Collecting, listening to and making music occupy nearly all of my free time. The rest is spent cooking and hanging out.

Music, Movies, and Books

Tell you what: you've got a couch, I'm working on a music collection that'll blow your mind. Let's trade.

The Last Dragon is awesome

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ever heard of Terrastock? It's a badly advertised and rarely held music festival. The last one took place at an old meat packing plant in Louisville, KY. 4 days of music, no overlapping sets, 43 bands and only 2 of them sucked. My life is now defined in two eras. Pre-Terrastock and Post-Terrastock.
---Chethan.

I took a two week long roadtrip with one of my best friends because we could. It was amazing. I now have realized that the travel bug has hit me and I want to see so many more things and places.
