About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to reach genuine self contentment and to use this to help others reach their mission objectives too. In the last few days of my life I would love to fly into a black hole and see what happens.

ABOUT ME

I am friendly and open-minded, always looking for new places to travel to, to meet new people who I can talk to- about anything and everything (but my favourite topics include time travel and chocolate)- and also whom I can learn from.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hope to be able to show people around my home town if they are passing through and show them all the things I love to do there! And I am hoping to meet other people who can provide exactly the same opportunity...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed in Israel, and it was an amazing experience- I met some great and interesting people and got to stay in unique places I might never have seen if it hadn't been for couchsurfing

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing Adams Peak in Sri Lanka- some friends and I started the trek at 2am, it took us 4 hours to reach the top. The whole journey upwards was up stairs and along the way there were places where we could stop for tea and watch others who were making the journey- many making it as part of a spiritual pilgrimage. When we got to the top we watched the sun rise and the temple at the top played a gong. The walk back down was harder than expected, but Breakfast that morning was incredible! Another amazing experience I have been lucky enough to have lived was when I was working in Thailand teaching English. I lived with a family for one month and during that month my friend and I were made to feel part of the small rural community where we were living. The family we stayed with were the kindest most selfless people I have ever met. That whole month was amazing- during the day my friend and I would teach in the school and in the evenings we would just take our motorbike and cycle around the farmland, stopping to play games of badminton with the kids or to buy food/drink from street vendors.
