Overview
About Me
Born in California. Moved to Melbourne, Australia as a kid, just moved to Nelson, BC, Canada! I feel mostly Australian even though my accent isn't 'true blue'. I like colour, dressing up, sewing, science (I'm a nerd), community - help folks, help yourself, help the earth. Share, join in, question things, dance, meditate, read. I love travelling, experiencing new cultures/challenges and learning basic language skills to connect with local people. I have been shown the best side of humanity when traveling. I have surfed and hosted loads and loved it!
'At the end of the day, the only questions I will ask myself are 'Did I love enough? Did I laugh enough? Did I make a difference?'
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have surfed and hosted loads both officially and unofficially. I have created community and groups while I travelled and am looking at engaging locally at the moment to make connections and suss out where the community is at now. It is important to give and take with CS, be respectful, communicate as well as you can so people are comfortable.
Interests
Travelling! I just returned from around the world with amazing experiences and friends! I can't wait to do it again! I like everything! Books, music, movies, writing, animals, food, new languages, the outdoors like hiking, camping. I study science and find it interesting but I don't want to be a lab rat so I'm considering all kinds of ideas! You name it....I'd work it for a while to find out what's the deal!

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite classical song is The Lark Ascending by Vaughan Williams (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZR2JlDnT2l8) but I like lots of music! I like music that reminds me of times and places. Movies? Used to be 'Amelie', 'The Matix', 'Fifth Element'. Nowadays art house cinema, things that make you think I suppose =) And there's always a good rom com like 'About Time'.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Moved countries, helped people and been profoundly thanked, found/created my own family, am comfortable in my own skin, watching sunsets exchange in France and China. saw glaciers, fell in love, made hard decisions.
