Overview
About Me
I'm a biology major at The University of South Alabama and my husband is a grad student in mechanical engineering there as well. I enjoy camping, kayaking, and reading. I spend most afternoons studying, sewing, playing water polo, or hanging out with my spoiled, fat cats. I love animals and spent two years consistently fostering kittens for a local animal shelter. I was even voted "most likely to become crazy cat lady" in high school. I took it as a compliment.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I've never been able to travel due to money and I have a yearning to travel, try new things, and meet new people. Because I understand the struggle of being on a budget, I want to help others travel as well. I'm also very interested in "tiny living" so being able to adapt to less material items, space, and privacy is something I would like to learn.
Interests
Camping, kayaking, trying new foods, learning new recipes, water polo, sewing, reading, and dancing (despite my lack of skill).

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy sci-fi and fantasy books, documentaries and scary movies, and all kinds of music. My favorite bands include the Gorillaz, Modest Mouse, Led Zeppelin, and the Punch Brothers. I also love Lana Del Rey.
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't have many teachable skills, but I can teach you how to make hemp jewelry, how to make tattoo chokers, basic sewing, and basic cooking (plus a few southern recipes). I can also teach you how to clip chicken wings (my mom has free range chickens) and how to clip cat claws.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Southern cooking and intellectual conversation. I'd also be happy to wash dishes and help clean up.
