ABOUT ME

I love traveling, learning new cultures and meeting new faces, which lead to a three years stint with the PeaceCorps in the deep woods of West Africa (Guinea), stayed in a hut and taught physics in a middle school. One thing led to another, I am now back in my home country working at a nascent Ed NGO that trains and supports top college grads to become teachers to improve education in rural China.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed with Luke in Paris recently. It was great. Prior to that, we met in Cambodia and ended up traveling together for a couple of weeks. You should look him up if you are looking for a couch in Paris, or just someone to meet up while you are there. Then I've done mostly hosting when I was in Bamako, each time meeting very interesting people. Haven't surfed with anyone yet after I joined couchsurfing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

(let's make it two) living in a hut, in a west african village with no electricity and running water, teaching physics to over 300 students for 2.5 years, seeing smiles from kids reading a book for the first time; being at Tibet and admiring Mt. Everest...
