About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Surviving life's crazy twists and turns
ABOUT ME
I´d call myself easy-going and reasonably fun. Or I at least can honour a good joke and pay you back with healthy sarcasm. I laugh a lot and might get a little too goofy at times. I can proudly say that I´m also able to laugh at myself.
I like people a lot. I think human beings are the most interesting and entertaining storybooks, teachers and inspirations for oneself.
I don't eat animals.
I do eat chocolate.
Sometimes I´m too positive about how things will work out for me in life. I´m more of a dreamer than a realist. But I think you can do worse than spending time with me. (go to the dentist for example)
PHILOSOPHY
It´s nice to be important, but it´s more important to be nice.
A smile on your face puts a smile on others.
and: Never hold back on things you really want to do!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I take and you give (in). Or was it the other way round? Do I even have to answer that? Huh...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Got stalked by an Israeli, fattened a German lady with cake, spoke one octave higher to another German´s baby, cleaned some Irish feet. TO BE CONTINUED...
Interests
I´m a person of the little things. I love the smell of rain, fresh cut grass and creepy attics. Old people holding hands are cute. I love Soap bubbles (it´s the glimmer) and whistling, old tea kettles. In my free-time I light and blow out matches just for the smell. On a cold day nothing makes me happier than looking out the window with a hot, steaming mug in my hands. Best time of the day is between 5 and 6am, when the air´s fresh and the day´s path still unwritten. With all the other people still asleep you could be the first or the last man on earth. I like fleamarkets and all that old stuff they come with.
I like art and from time to time express myself in several artistic ways like writing or doodle-ing (that even a word?) or photography. I read a lot. I'm a yogi. I love hiking and do a bit of rockclimbing.

Music, Movies, and Books
I can bury my nose in a book for a whole working-shift without noticing anything around me. I read kinda everything from novels to non-fiction. I do NOT read user's manuals.
Music-wise I'm kinda all over the place. I like the giants like Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin just as much as electronic music, singer-songwriter stuff, Balkan beats or even Hip Hop (mostly German). I don't get so excited about the stuff that makes it to the charts though and apparently have no clue who Bruno Mars is...
I used to be kind of a movie geek, but unfortunately lost track of what's happening on the screens about two years ago. Still my favorite directors would be Park Chan-Wook, David Lynch, Sofia Coppola, that Quentin guy, and Stanley Kubrick. I´m also really fond of Fatih Akin, a Turkish-German moviemaker.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
are best shared over coffee/tea/beer/wine or around camp fires
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to speak German in different dialects and give you an insight into the German culture and people. Also important: the meaning of "Brotzeit"! I can also try to make Germany attractive as a travel destination by being super nice and cool.
I would love to learn some Spanish. I did also always regret that I never put enough energy in learning French. (Come on...trying to teach a person a foreign language in the middle of puberty...who does that?) And anyway I think it´s super cool to at least be able to make some basic smalltalk in the language of the country you´re in. I´m very interested in how other people from other countries live so tell me all about it.
What I can share is a smile- always. I´m also pretty tall so I might reach for some apples or fruit that you maybe can´t. And if you want we can yogi out together.
