About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I've started down an interesting path. Where it will lead me I'm not sure. I know though that there's a lot out there, I'm off to find some of it.

ABOUT ME

Generally I have a smile on my face and am trying to get the most out of life. I don't like stepping over the little guy to get what I need. Giving a dollar to the bum on the corner every now and then is definitely a good thing.

Don't be surprised if you see me walking around barefoot, I do it often. Grab the Earth with your toes, it feels good!

I'm hoping to go global with my job, promote some positive social change, work towards equality, and enrich the lives of the people I come in contact with. Kind of an idealist you could say.

PHILOSOPHY

Concentrate on the little things while formulating something grand.

Remember every moment is infinite and in each one take a stand.

For those who struggle reach out that helpful hand,

and from yourself, only the best can you demand.

-- good is open to interpretation, but there are some things that hopefully everyone can accept as right and just. One can arrive at these things through reflection and serious thought. Try it sometime.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

a bit among friends and friends of friends but nothing as adventurous as this! It takes a certain level of maturity and trust to make this happen, don't be the one to destroy it....

Interests

biggest interest is snowboarding. Been doing it for awhile now. Beyond that though I am a very athletic guy who loves the outdoors and taking advantage of any great opportunity.

I read a lot and am trying to develop a spirituality that allows for a long life with a heart full of honey =)

meditation, yoga, climbing, biking, boarding, reading, chilling, listening, and chatting are on the top of the list.

  • yoga
  • meditation
  • walking
  • flying
  • reading
  • outdoor activities
  • cycling
  • snowboarding
  • rock climbing

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies? Anything with a good message or insight. Something has gotta be stirred inside of me: joy, sadness, deep reflection, calmness - that sorta thing.
Music? Chilled out stuff that has a very good melody and paints an emotional picture - whatever the emotion may be. Air, Bonobo, Balkanika (a new favorite from a bosnian friend), and many others.

Books? Oh wow... I work in a library and I gotta tell ya, there are so many books out there worth sitting down and reading...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

flying off a 70ft jump at about 40mph, 20ft in the air at Breck while spinning a fs900.... for anyone who does an activity of whatever sort that allows them to feel something called, by many, the Flow.. you have an idea.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a lil about maintaining optimism. It's been a bumpy road for me at times but I'm committed to staying connected to my world.

I've picked up a few things along the way, they're yours to decide upon if you wish to hear them.
