Overview
About Me
In June I moved to New York City for a job working as a legal assistant at a small civil rights law firm that works to represent plaintiffs in employment discrimination cases. I still don't have a clue what I'll end up doing for a career, but right now I'm proud of the work we're doing. I'm excited to figure out where I fit in the fight toward making the US and the world better for the people who live here.
Originally from New Jersey, I moved to California for school before making the silly (joking...maybe) decision to move back east, but travel about when I can. I went on my first backpacking trip to Europe in the summer and am planning to go backpacking to either La Ciudad Perdida in Colombia or Machu Picchu. I also hope to move to Amsterdam in the near future, where my grandparents came from after WWII and where I have a lot of family.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Initially I joined for my backpacking trip to Europe. I wanted to meet locals in the cities I went to and did not want to spend my time in hostels with other tourists. I'm also really into the philosophy of couch surfing - of sharing stories, making connections with people I might not otherwise encounter. I love it when I remember how generous and open-minded human beings can be.
