People call me Astro...or Astro Boy...or Stron...or Stronniekins...or Strondom...or Aslan...or Ashtray...or whatever...

I'm a Water Wizard raised by the Earth Mages of the Central Dessert (mmm, delicious :) ).

It's always adventure time!

I love lasers, cantaloupe (rockmelon), rapping, dragons, stars, bluegrass banjo, trees, spaceships, heavy metal, mountains, ducks, peanut butter and aeroplanes. This list is exhaustive so please don't try to talk to me about any other topics ;P

I've dedicated a huge part of my life to fostering appreciation for the natural world through Eco-Tourism and now by giving city kids a beautiful outdoor experience in the woods of Northern California. I once was a desk jockey, and truly feel that venturing into the outdoors rekindled something important inside me that had been forgotten. I've come to believe this is all too common in our city-centred, uber-connected society...I don't want people to forget about the mountains and the trees!!!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I've surfed very little, yet I've used Couchsurfing often to meet locals when I'm travelling, and travellers when I'm home. It's a great tool for this!

I much prefer to see a place through local eyes than those of a visitor - often amazing things are right under our noses yet we miss them, not knowing where to look. I love being on both sides - being shown around or doing the showing!

I think this type of connection makes the difference between seeing a place with your eyes or getting a taste for what life there is like - and to me it's an important difference!

What I can offer when I'm travelling:

I have a passion for flow arts and would love to perform for you, jam with you , teach you something or learn from you! I'm into poi, meteor and devil sticks...but poi is my main deal! Not sure what I'm talking about? Ask me :)

My favourite type of music is epic Fantasy-based Metal but I've got something of an eclectic taste. I also get right into certain Psytrance, Hip Hop, Punk, Classical, Country, Folk, Indie and...whatever! Try me!
