About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore the world as a perpetual scholar and traveler.

ABOUT ME

I am a Southerner from the Great State of Florida who travels the world, as it is one of my great passions. I have not been to University yet, but I will be attending college when I return home as I work towards a Mechanical Engineering degree.

I am now traversing Vietnam in the last hurrah before I go back Stateside to see my family.

PHILOSOPHY

If you're going to generalize about my nationality, get my nationality RIGHT, it's CONFEDERATE, and for the right reasons.

I am a social liberal and a fiscal conservative, which means hands off my rights and my property. I believe that all people have unalienable rights only if they are willing to defend them. I live my life by that philosophy and I am free. I live to enjoy my travels.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couchsurf, go to couchsurf meetings, organize other meetings, make life-long friends, and starting tomorrow for sure live life to the fullest.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Tasmania and attended many CS meetings for drinks and movies and karaoke and salsa and I would not have spent my time any other way!

Interests

I am passionate about travel, invention, and debate, over any category. My real-world knowledge comes from debate and research, so if you have a different opinion I'd like to hear it! I also love fishing, sailing, salsa (both the sauce and the dance), any non-competitive/professional sport. Music is not my specialty as I like a lot of it, but could not name artists or albums to save my life (my studies were turned more to history than art). I like to listen to the radio when I get a chance as you (sometimes) get surprised (unless you're in New Zealand, where Lady Gaga is played all day).

Music, Movies, and Books

Books, just about any good book. I am not too picky with movies and books, but Michener and Tolkien are good authors. I like good stories.

I'm reading Texas by James A Michener

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been through the eyes of two consecutive hurricanes in a three week period without leaving my house, and loved it >8D Hurricanes can be pretty cool, once the power's back.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some American history, I can divulge into the concepts of essential liberty and the base of my future campaign to become the Governor of Florida and eventually President of the United States. I can talk for hours on philosophy, or religion. I can also introduce you to a number of American traditions, like Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches, Sloppy Joes, and Pumpkin Pie if I can find it!

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, France, Italy, New Zealand, Spain, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, Malta, New Zealand, United States
