About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I participate in Couch Surfing for the following reasons:

It opens the door to another private world, another human's journey, I can get a glimpse of or escape for the moment. And be completely immerse through your eyes while you are visiting me or while I am visiting you. And when you open up, I have nothing but great respect for you and your life, how far you came and traveled and how our paths intercept at this point. Even as strangers we all... are/were/will be... someone's daughter/son, brother/son, grandchild, niece/nephew, mother/father or friend, and we must protect each other as if we are that person/guardian on a journey away from home.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like things you may never have heard of:

International
1. Two Spanish Telenovelas: Teresa (she is poor but smart and greedy and becomes a lawyer and marries her handsome mentor),
2. Rubi (she is just crazy but in an interesting way but you wonder why she has to be since she is beautiful so educated and can get whatever she wants even if she wasn't greedy). Very specific in my movie taste because I honestly don't like all movies of one type of culture or genre or time period, another example:
3. God of Gamblers (old Chinese movie I loved, Hong Kong) just remember loving the movie haha,
4. Very specific Thai drama movies in 90s as a kid I grew up watching translations but can't list titles in English lol. Well not yet. I need a Thai translator. A lot of romance, power struggles, deception, the Drama and I've been watching since age 5, lol...what can I say: I'm American but still Asian. Today not so much into this Thai drama soap opera anymore. I grew out of it.
5. One Korean drama: Get Karl Oh Soo Jong; for love or for money this movie has you guessing motives of his ex fiancé/old high school sweetheart as it dwelled into why she did what she did. I highly vibe with movie characters because of his painful journey about love, weight loss and success with an old high school flame after he becomes an international golf star but other than that I'm not so into Korean movies. Also Karl is so hot!
6. Jab We Met (Hindi)- Romance Travel Hope Family Money Happiness
7. Three Idiots (Hindi with English translation) - an absolute favorite!!
8. Money for Nothing, British series on Netflix

2012 BE SELECTIVE WHAT YOUR MIND STORES.

American:
0. Dynasty. I’m Fallon Carrington!!! Lol
1. The Dressmaker movie
2. Groundhog's Day (story reminded me of my life),
3. Dangerous Beauty ( beautiful scenes) movie, Indian movies, independent film, movies that make me think... 4. Lie to Me TV series, entertaining back then
5. Gossip Girl ( I was bored but once I understood the story better it was very interesting, people sort of surprised I watch this and I usually don't like this kind of series)
6. Sex and the City (of course!) I think I'm a Carrie, Samantha and Miranda all balled up into one person
7. House MD, great series ( I almost married someone just like House)
8. The Good Doctor, tv
9. 1000 Ways to Die, old tv series
10. Medical Mystery Investigations, old tv series
11. You are What you Eat, old British tv series
12. Shark Tank, tv
13. The Butterfly Effect, movie

Music:
1. Civil Wars (group band)
2. Celine Dions old stuff
3. Strange singers Your might have never heard of

Not a regular tv nor movie watchers at all but seen few episodes here and there.

Books:
1 Celestine Prophecy
2. The Secret
3. Emma, by Jane Austen ( ********I feel like I was originally Emma when I was growing up, nowadays I'm a Hippie lol)
See my photo folder on more. Visuals are always more vivid.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Past: Lived this life to my fullest ability that I am comfortable and most capable , while helping others along the way.

Present: Living in someone else's dream fantasy, but I don't know whose! Lol.

Teach, Learn, Share

Finding Shorter Creative Strategic ways to do things, Anything I know about the following: Art projects, Science & Pharmaceuticals (my background study was Doctorate of Pharmacy), Self Help (was my thing in 20s), Alternative Remedy, Food Gardening, Writing blogs, hands on Photography, new to Cryptocurrency, Reading unusual non mainstream news because mainstream news is mostly depressing or boring to me, Food recipes (I fell in love with Indian food but it took many years for me to adjust to the flavors then I became allergic to many spices- the irony!), Im fascinated by patterns and designs henna and rangoli art and I think I can do graffiti well enough, I do want to learn sewing because I love clothing and thrifting and have an eclectic Bohemian sense of style and love what people wear to Music Festivals but never went myself. I love Indian exotic clothing styles for weddings, Very much into Victorian era dresses. Thrift shopping is a skill and I enjoyed 50 cent shopping bargains. No need to spend a fortune. You would not believe what I use to find! Whatever you wish to know or learn (I can come with a lesson plan/PowerPoint presentation to entertain if you want or have a projector) lol
