Hi everyone,

my name is Nerea, and I've used Couchsurfing a long time ago. I have lived in different countries, working and studying. I'm still travelling around and trying to "find my place in the world" :) that's because most of the time I can't host, I have usually no address.

I have studied languages and linguistics, and I love finding new people and new cultures, and new languages, new smells and tastes, new travellers. To get to one language is very important to get first to the people... that's why I love to get in touch with locals.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's very important for me to know people from the place I visit. I can always have advices, help finding the local life, I like the cultural exchange, what I can offer as a foreign person and what I can learn from the others.

Interests

I like photography (by now I don't have my camera with me since I wanted to travel without essencial weights :), draw sketches, teach and learn languages and I like to be in contact with different cultures. I like also to work with my hands (macrame and drawing are good examples). I'm a former violinist aswell ;)
I love scuba diving and now I'm planning to get divemaster. At this time I'm living in Manaus, Amazonas (Brasil) and I want to stay a little bit more in this continent, but to move to the Caribe. I need somehow the beach and the island live. Don't know how but the life led me to live most of the time in islands and near the sea, and I love it

Music, Movies, and Books

I love always to have music on near me. I like reggae, ska, punk, , flamenco fusion music from spain, and I love the different folclores and musical instruments from the countries, specially the drumms and other percusions.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach what I can do, i have always with me my warercolors and the macramé threds. I like to cook some recipes of my country and I love to show them! :)
