About Me

Hi there! My name is Boris and I currently live in Belgrade, Serbia. I am 22 years old, and I recently finish my bachelor studies in Norway. Currently, I am working in my hometown, but I am planning to move to Norway once again in the future, to continue my studies.

I am interested in way too many things, so being occupied for most of each day doesn't leave much room for free time. However, when I manage to catch some, I love spending it on meeting with friends, listening to music, playing computer games, or occasionally seeing a movie. I say occasionally because I'm a fan of "modern" movies (which came out after 2011 lets say), so already seeing those that interest me that are out so far doesn't help me when it comes to finding new one to watch, and waiting for premieres in theaters can be quite annoying when you are an impatient person.
Those "occupied" hours of mine are consisted mostly of work, and spending time on improving myself. I am a designer, with animation background, video editing and VFX lover, and UX design enthusiast. I am looking forward to continuing my studies, and meeting colleagues from the industry.

When it comes to vacation days, I love travelling! I've spent my younger days travelling all the time, because I used to play piano, and went to many international competitions. That is when I developed my interest in seeing lots of places, meeting new people. Over the years, the consistency of my travels gradually dropped, due to all the obligations, but I still try to arrange my holidays properly and visit places where I haven't been before.

I am also a technology enthusiast, which came from my passion for gaming. I could say that gaming has been my consistent hobby throughout the years, and I never "grew out of that phase". I am still a kid in my soul and I try to put fun into everything I do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I said, I love travelling and meeting new people. I believe that this platform helps many people like me and gives them an opportunity to do so.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:
My favorite ones are thriller/mystery type of movies, but I also like flashy CGI stuff which comes with all superhero ones

Music:
I love and respect all kinds of qualities in a song, from lyrics, beat, vocal skills, solos... So therefore I do not have a specific genre that I prefer. I am very open minded, and if a song fascinates me with something, I will appreciate it. People usually don't understand my playlists, since they go from metal, over trap/rap, to classical music - that's just now I am. :P

Series:
I avoid getting into watching those, because I can't really control myself. I start by convincing myself it will be just an episode or two, and end up not sleeping because I've seen 2 seasons.
Some that I've seen - Game of Thrones, Vikings, Punisher, Altered Carbon, Westworld

Games:
Even though I've been gaming my entire life (since the age of 3 on SEGA), I haven't really tested too many games. Multiplayer ones were always more appealing to me, and those local couch coops turned into online ones as I grew older. I always opted to spot games I liked, and play them for years, in order to get as good as I can. There is always a risk in doing so, because you might get bored in the process (as many people do), but two where that didn't happen to me were World of Warcraft (which I still play after 12 years) and League of Legends (about 8 years of playing).
Additional ones I've played: Diablo, Hearthstone, Starcraft, Overwatch, Monster Hunter World...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jumped into ice-cold water in Norway. Yikes, I can still feel the chills, but it was an amazing experience.
