About Me

I'm a curious and open-minded person, I love learning about other people, cultures and meeting new folks around the globe!

My biggest hobby is travelling and I do it sometimes alone, so I believe Couchsurfing is a great way to meet new people and even make new friends while visiting new places. I am a big foodie (I went veggie now but fish is okay) so I love eating good big means and I also love to cook, so feel free to ask me to cook any Spanish dish for you! Oh, French cuisine is also a big specialty of mine.

I have been living in Stockholm since 2018 and I can host there, but I can also host sometimes when I'm down in Spain in my summer house. I spend my time teaching Spanish and French and studying a master's in French Literature at Stockholm University.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I enjoy traveling and meeting new people is one of the most wonderful things in the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC:
Anything pop will do it. Of course I've had my "eras" (this is NOT a reference to Ms. Swift...) and I'm a music lover, from classical to techno, loving folk music, rock, flamenco and dance. 2024 has been by brat year listening to Charli XCX.

MOVIES:
Big Almodóvar fan here, but also Guadagnino, Wes Anderson, Xavier Dolan, Tarantino, la Nouvelle Vague... I have the patience to endure long movies where nothing is happening, a good photography team is key in those movies. I also enjoy anime, especially Ghibli movies.

BOOKS:
I enjoy good novels, but also poetry and essays. As a student of literature, I must say I love some of the Greek tragic classics, Arthurian Legends and other Chanson de Geste or Epic Poems, Boccaccio, Cervantes, Molière, Balzac, Baudelaire, Stendhal, Verlaine, Proust, Rilke, García Lorca... On a different and more contemporary note, I enjoy poststructuralism, in what concerns literary criticism and queer and feminist literature. For a more relaxed approach in contemporary novel I read SciFi and post-colonial literature, however I also enjoy children literature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can seem to decide between bungee jumping or scuba diving!

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy teaching my mother language, Spanish(!), to someone who's willing to learn. I also teach French because I love the language, but if you ask, my favourite language is Italian. However, I am actually really enjoying learning Japanese at the moment.

I also love cooking, as mentioned earlier, so I love teaching how to cook what I already know. Btw, Andalusian cuisine is my specialty.

:)

What I Can Share with Hosts
