About Me
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Isn’t it exciting to meet someone for the first time?
One of the things I value most in life is new experiences, and I can say the best ones I’ve had have been while traveling. Since I came to realize that the part I enjoy the most about traveling is not the mere fact of visiting a place for your check list, but instead to observe how people live and the way they think. CS gives you that opportunity that you can’t find in travel guides.
I’ve been using CS every now and then for quite a few years already, mostly to make the most of my solo trips. I’ve also hosted, way more than my reviews show, through a former roommate. If you host me, don’t expect me to just drop my bags and disappear, I’m really keen to get to know you. I’m also totally fine if you can’t join me for everything I do.
It’s tough to describe myself beyond the usual "open-minded" and "easy-going" (although I really am, haha). I think everyone sees you differently, so it’s best to wait until you form your own unbiased opinion.
Interests
I’m pretty curious about the world around us. Traveling is often a way to satisfy that curiosity.
Sometimes, I start looking something up online and end up losing hours jumping from one topic to another.
The same goes for music; I love finding new tunes thanks to the Spotify algorithm. I also enjoy live music, the whole spectrum from chill acoustic gigs to techno raves, and everything in the middle.
I spend a lot of time playing racket sports. I’ve played tennis my whole life (I even used to coach part-time in college), and recently I’ve gotten into two kind of new sports: beach tennis and pickleball.
