Overview
About Me
I'm a young (and will always be, or at least I hope so) teacher. I studied to become a Computer Engineer and, in fact, I worked as one for several years until I decided that that line of work was not made for me, and started teaching.
Being a teacher is a huge part of who I am nowadays, I consider myself lucky because every day I'm learning more and more from my students. They've shaped the person I am as much as my upbringing and my education have; and I hope to have influenced theirs as much.
I am also an activist, I've been involved in social movements for most of my life: 15-M, unions, civil rights, cooperativism, etc. I can't understand life without helping one another.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people and to show (and being showed) the world. There's not much to add. I'm very talkative and open to new concepts (music, literature, science, arts, cuisine, etc.).
Interests
I'm really into science (any kind of science) and arts (I don't really would know which one to choose as a favourite, because is the moment the one who stablishes what's the one I'm willing to go for each time).
Also, and specially, The Simpsons and Futurama (I can't help it!).

Music, Movies, and Books
It's hard for me to choose any song, movie or book as my favourite, (there's so much to choose from!). In any case, here goes a small selection:
- Music: Bruce Springsteen, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Ramones, Calle 13, M-Clan, Celtas Cortos, The Dubliners...
- Movies: Il Postino, The Man From Earth, Everything is Illuminated, Amanece que no es poco, Blade Runner, Mediterraneo...
- Books: Cien Años de Soledad, Olvidado Rey Gudú, O Lapis do Carpinteiro, Memorias dun Neno Labrego...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being alive is amazing enough for me, I'm just a regular guy. I guess that the most amazing thing I've done is saving a few people's lives while working as a lifeguard.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach, Learn and Share is my motto. Where I'm from (Galicia - Spain) we've a verb which means, simultaneously, to learn and to teach. That word is "deprender", and I think it summarizes my life's philosophy.
