About Me
ABOUT ME
I`m Jurate from small country Lithuania. I`m working as a journalist and I really love it. But sometimes I just need more inspiration in life. Then I want to package my bag up and go abroad to see new places and meet new people.
PHILOSOPHY
Absolut banal one. Life is short, you must enjoy it. When I die, I don`t want to regret anything. I want to think, it was so great! I believe there are more good than bad people in the world, and I want to spend my time with them:)
As I`m thinking what to write about myself it seems to me I should write about to different persons: there is one version of me as I`m travelling and another as I am at home in Vilnius. While I`m in Vilnius, I need to admit it, I`m a bit workaholic:) I can`t help myself - I really love what I`m doing, it takes a lot of my time, and if I`m not working, I`m volunteering in one program, contributing to different culture projects, learning to play guitar (pleasure for me to learn but still not to others to listen:D), meeting friends or family members, so I`m from the type, always on the rush and can`t party till the morning cause there`s so much to do on other day:D So maybe I`m not the best host to people who search for big parties but I can offer a couch, a dinner and maybe showing some Vilnius . But as I`m travelling I like to not have any plans, I want just to wake up and think, what I want to do today - sometimes it`s just sitting in some cafe for whole day, sometimes dancing in some club , sometimes taking first bus or rent a car and go to another city just because why not?

Music, Movies, and Books
I`m addicted to reading. it`s hard to except only few. I thought I don`t like science fiction but I`ve red "Flowers for Algernon" and it changed my mind. I love Bukowski for his sarcasm, Kundera for his sad romanticism, Yuval Noah Harari for collecting so many knowledge and telling it in interesting way, Agatha Christie for relaxing moments when I`m absulutely tired and need just to dive in the story without thinking, and so many many more.
Music is the thing I can`t live without as well. It`s easier to say what I don`t like :) So I don`t like techno, electronic or something like that, I`m like old lady who`s saying it`s not a music at all:D If to mention one favorite singer it would be Leonard Cohen but it doesn`t mean I`m so melancholic as his music all the time :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I`ve travelled by interail (you know maybe these trains tickets valid in almost all Europe) two weeks without any plans and somehow found myself in Spain, in Pamplona, in this amazing San Fermin festival. I don`t know where could be more fun and friendly atmosphere.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to learn new languages, I try to know some words in every country I go. I`m not very good at cooking but it`s still interesting for me and we can try to cook something together:)
