To spend some time getting to know different cities and cultures instead of just visiting top tourist attractions. I love to travel and want to learn lots of languages.

ABOUT ME

I'm easy going and like to try new things. I love to play ultimate frisbee and do all sorts of outdoor activities. I also play the piano and have an appreciation for talented musicians of all sorts. I'm currently living in Vancouver, getting a masters in Architecture at UBC, and love thinking about how environmental design impacts the way we live. (It really does!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couch surfed a couple of times but have only hosted once. They've all been incredible experiences and I'm so grateful to this community. I can't wait to surf again and get back to traveling. I would love to host more but my roommates haven't been so keen on the concept. I'm working on it!

Music, Movies, and Books

Battlestar Gallactica, Six Feet Under, Project Runway, Alias, Lord of the Rings, His Dark Materials, Eat Pray Love, Life of Pi ahh those are all the ones off the top of my head at the moment. In terms of music, I'm pretty open minded, I like classical music, indie music, coldplay, classic rock, and anything that's make you wanna DANCE! I love seeing a new band live.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rafted the Grand Canyon - 16 days!

Saw the Northern Lights in Iceland.

Hiked down into the Havasupai Reservation in the Grand Canyon and bathed under a waterfall

Jumped into the Mediterranean from along the city walls in Dubrovnik, about a 15 meter drop!

Went canyoning in the Switzerland near Interlaken.

Biked down the valley along the Flaamsbana in Norway.

Climbed a volcano in the middle of Lake Nicaragua.
