ABOUT ME

I started traveling before I could walk with my family. We lived in Europe for 14 years, then I moved to Boston. After spending a summer in Elba, I ended up in Paris where I spent four years, then a year London and Scotland. I volunteer now for a food bank, and spend the rest of my time in my garden, cooking and working on my house. I love hosting and meeting new people.

PHILOSOPHY

Humanitarian. As Danny Thomas once said “All of us are born for a reason, but all of us don't discover why. Success in life has nothing to do with what you gain in life or accomplish for yourself. It's what you do for others.”

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couched surfed way before there was a name for it. My first couch surfing experience was with a circus family in Denmark in 1963. I ran away from home, when living in Stockholm, with my best friend.I was 14 years old. My mother flipped out when she found me staying with a family who were real circus clowns. I have kept in touch with that family all these years. I have had hosted so many people in Paris, London, Scotland and Boston I can't count.
