ABOUT ME
My mission in life is to do what I can to make this life better for those that I cross paths with and in so doing have a great experience with other people. Hopefully I learn from everyone around me and never spend a day where I don't learn something new. I have traveled very extensively in many parts of the world and want to share the passion for some of the things I have seen and learned along the way.
PHILOSOPHY
All of us have a purpose for being here and I am in hot pursuit of mine and trying to affect the lives of those around me for the better. I get up each day knowing there is a great reason for doing so. At 70 I now realize that life is EXTREMELY short. Doing this only once has to count for something in eternity and our own posterity
Some housekeeping before you ask to surf......
Please know what you are doing a few days ahead of time. 5 days minimum...2 people maximum...at least a few references from other surfers(hosts)..no late night arrivals please
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
By having a great time with all the cool people who give me the privilege of hosting them here in my home and showing them some Idaho hospitality.. please be sure you are verified before you solicit my couch. I want to share the experience of CS with the world but because of the many people who just sign up and look for last minute lodging I can no longer accept those without references or verification. ..trying to keep it safe and in the true spirit of sharing. It is good that you are vaccinated for Covid. No statement or opinion here...just science.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Have hosted many people in my home from all over the world and met some incredible people in doing so. Have also shared life with many others in their home countries.
Interests

I also work in importing rare and exotic carpets and textiles from everywhere. Also had a language school where I live and sister school overseas. visited 18 states (8%) Create your own visited map of The World or Like this? try: Google Battle

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ok a couple of things:Walking the Inca trail .....road tripping the length of New Zealand, Watching a volcano blow up in south America, hhmmm hard to say maybe meeting a Maori Indian couple who lived in dirt floored house who said that they were absolutely happy and blessed to be alive and not wanting for anything.
Teach, Learn, Share
I remember loving glass bottom boats as a kid......NO comparison to putting on the Scuba gear and getting IN the water for the 1st time. So it was with learning Spanish and the doors it opened up in so many countries. The reason for having the language schools...
