I fell in love with traveling when i traveled trough eastern europe with my friends. Meeting foreign people and exploring new countries and city's instantly got me hooked on the the awesome life of traveling.

When i needed to do a foreign internship for my study i really wanted to go to Australia. After about 40 different emails to random companies, i got a response from the institute of marine and antartic studies (IMAS). There i did some research on microplastics accumulation in sediment and since i finished the internship at the start of July, im now spending the rest of my summer vacation traveling the east coast and Indonesia.

Im a 20y/o open minded Dutch guy with an positive attitude. Since I think you should do (almost) everything in your life, I really like doing new things. I noticed that saying yes to people and ideas can give you the nicest experiences and bring you to the best places. I always try to stay as long as possible at a event since I think(and noticed) that the best things usually happen last.

I like cooking (specialties are pizza and pasta and im now trying to make the perfect curry), wine, listening to music, competitive games, interesting conversations and overal just good company.

Music i like includes drum and bass, techno, dubstep, future house, trance but also acoustic guitar, piano, rock, R&B and a lot more i dont even know the name off. Basicly a lot...
I like talking about more on the heavier subjects since i study environmental sciences. I think we're fucking up the world pretty bad but i do still really have hope for it all. Since so few people that i talk to share the same feeling, im intrested in talking with them to see their perspective on it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

First week of backpacking i stayed in a hostel in sydney. I noticed that there were not a lot of people with similair interests. When i heard from some people that you can have really cool encounters on coachsurfing, i thought I'd give t a go.
