About Me

Hello! I grew up in Austin, TX until I was 14, then moved to the Denver suburbs with my family. I spent most of my 20's deep in the Couchsurfing community in Boulder, hosting weekly meetups, couch crashes, random events, hosting almost everyone who sent me a request, and sleeping on at least a few couches myself. I've had so many adventures and met so many characters through CS.

I'm taking it a little easier these days, working full time and living in Denver, but still having fun because I work at a bar. I'm a little more low-energy lately, but I'm an enneagram 7 as I bet most CSers are :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In the summer of 2010 I was visiting Washington DC and went to the CS group's weekly mixer. I had a great time, and when I got home to Boulder I thought it would be a great idea to start having a weekly meet-up in Boulder too...and we did for many years!

You could stay in the same city with ten different people and have ten amazingly different experiences...every local has something different to share that you won't find anywhere in a guide book or online.

I first used CouchSurfing to find friends when traveling solo in Ecuador when I was 23. While I am not traveling, my aim is to provide others with the same awesome and enriched travels as I experienced in Ecuador. I ended up meeting people from all over the world and catching a 4am bus to a surfing town for my best New Year's Eve on record.

Interests

I'm on a mission to visit all 50 states, I feel so close with 39 but still so far. My criteria for "visiting" means having a particular memory in a state.
