CURRENT MISSION
Grow.
ABOUT ME
I feel like I'm just on the verge of something. There's something big in my future, something significant. Maybe it is the next connection. I'm still learning, growing, changing, moving. I hope that's always the case. Sometimes I feel like I'm going in circles, but as I continue my path I believe it is somehow more of a simultaneously expanding and shrinking spiral.
PHILOSOPHY
People are inherently good. Kindness is the most important quality I can possess and share. Every day should have meaning, something I can find and from which I may learn more about myself and the world, and in turn, share. Love, always.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted in TN, and had so many amazing experiences as I crossed the US to Oregon. I've already had so many wonderful experiences - the world is full of love and goodness.
My living situation changed and I've been on haitus from hosting in respect of the boundaries of my fabulous roommates. Now! Now, though, I'm free to host and surf to my little heart's content, and I'm looking forward to getting back in the flow of it. I'm in the midst of several hefty home renovations, so I'm "maybe accepting guests" depending on your comfort with a touch of a construction mess.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Never a negative experience. I can't say how much I've loved hosting and surfing. I grow a little each time I connect with someone.
Interests
Herbalism. Connecting to nature. Travel. Good music. Food. Art. Cultures that are not my own. Outdoor adventures. Hiking, caving, fishing, stargazing, etc. Fire poi. Energy. Belly dance. Places like the Hostel in the Forest, and the people that are drawn to such places.

Music, Movies, and Books
Good music. Music that moves. Books that challenge me and my philosophies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Amazing is so relative. I don't consider anything I've done amazing in the big picture, but they felt pretty good to me. Knowing I've made a difference in the life of one of my students. A life-changing sweat lodge. Feeling the thrill of vertigo approaching the edge of a canyon at a rest stop in Utah.
Teach, Learn, Share
Music. Poi. Herbalism. Passionate living.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Any and all of my experiences so far. Ask me about the time I almost got bitten by a rattlesnake, or the time I had an impossible bassoon solo, or the time I forgot what I was saying to an audience in Austria.
Knowledge - Herbalism, nonviolent communication, meditation - I'm still a student, but love the opportunity to share what I'm learning. I can give beginner/early intermediate lessons on all non-string instruments and diagnose most instruments in need of repair. I can teach you to read music, too.
Skills - I'm a pretty good cook and handy with a variety of power tools. I can demo, paint (interior/exterior), install trim, tile, and handle some plumbing. I love fixing things. I absolutely love gardening and playing with pets. I'm great with kids, too.
