Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started couch surfing while traveling in Iran. It is a great way to meet people, gain a deeper insight in local culture and make wonderful friends. Luckily, all the hosts I met so far are great people and I really enjoyed the experience.

Interests

I like sports and outdoor activities, hiking, diving, swimming... I love food and have a great interest in cooking, and have tried some bizarre cuisine on this trip. Needless to say, I like travelling and am somewhat addicted to it right now. Sometimes I like doing nothing, sitting and having conversation over a couple of tea/coffee, or ... just sitting.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like being absorbed in books, music and movies, but find it difficult to name my favorite. The last book I really enjoyed is Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rescued by coast guard helicopter in west England, overjoyed in Disneyland in Paris, lost every night in the alleys of Venice, cruised on a Junk along Croatian coastline, swam in a fairytale-like lake in Slovenia, became photomaniac in Angkor Wat, rock climbed in Ho Long Bay, snorkeled with shark and giant turtles in Thailand, fell in love with people in Laos and Myanmar, meditated in Ashram in India, trekked in Himalaya in Nepal, couchsurfed in Iran, wondered aimlessly in Istanbul...

Teach, Learn, Share

I lived in China and the UK and have travelled in a dozen countries so far. I can share with you my travel stories in the countries I have visited, the landscape, the culture, the people, the both frustrating and inspiring experience. I have a background in law and social policy, should you be interested, I am very happy to discuss them and share with you what I know. I have a great passion for food, though Chinese food is what I usually cook.

I am quite greedy when it comes to learning other culture, history, fashion, literature, music, politics, economics, perspectives about the world. I am grateful for anything anyone can teach me.
