About Me

Like your typical Australian, I am easy-going and loves a laugh. I am a recent university drop-out who has decided to instead commit to the one thing I know I want to do. Travel. So here I am on my first solo trip starting in Thailand, going through Myanmar, India and Turkey. Then stoping in at Georgia and finally finishing up Bulgaria. Well at least that is the very loose plan for the next 6 months.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Cause it seems like the best way to travel, meeting locals, or fellow travellers who have been in the area for a while. Plus It embodies the spirit of travel which is breaking down cultural barriers through meeting and sharing. It works towards a more connected world, a cause that is particularly important in this age.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: constant and ever changing phases of musical interest, but always loving the Australian indie scene.

Movies : Anything by Stanley Kubrick, Michael Hanke and Paul T. Anderson . If I feel like some great dialogue, the Coen brothers get me going. David Lynch and Alexandro Jodorowsky and Wes Anderson for some weird fun.

Tv: Game of thrones, Its always sunny in Philadelphia, Archer, The Wire and Atlanta

Books: Currently reading history books, finished a book on the Balkans region and now half way into a book of the general of the Middle East. Though love a good scifi/fantasy story

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year I was white water rafting in north Australia, and I had to save my instructor who had himself caught under the raft. Which was more terrifying than amazing, but what made it awesome was him inviting me for drinks with his mates afterwards. That was a big night 😜

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't like to assume I can teach much, as I am still young. Always happy, though, to share stories of my travels and of my homeland if you are interested in Australia. As I said before I don't considered myself particular knowledge but I'm always interested in talking about international political and cultural spheres, particularly of your homeland. Above all I am most interested in learning your story 🙂

What I Can Share with Hosts

As you can tell from my travel plans, I am very easy going and flexible. I wish to give my hosts a care free, and hopefully, a really enjoyable experience. If you do choose to host me know that there are no expectations if you are free and want to hang out, would be more than keen. However if you are busy that is fine, happy to do my own thing. As some one who has offered their house to a stranger, you have my gratitude, and so assured that all house rules will be respected. Further more if you need help with house-keeping or errands, would be happy help out if I can. If you do end up wanting to show me around a bit be ill be up to buying you a drink or a meal to show my gratitude.

Countries I’ve Visited

Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Iran, Laos, New Zealand, Thailand, Turkey, Viet Nam
