About Me

ABOUT ME

My hope is to embrace different cultures throughout my lifetime. When I travel, the best thing for me is to join and experience the culture, which is why I like to live in different countries for at least a year to understand what it is about. This to me is my ideal kind of travel!
I have gone to CS meetups in various cities and have had different types of adventures with fellow surfers. I love meeting new people and sharing our experiences. You dont always have to talk about something heavy as long as you are in good company and connect on some level then it’s meaningful!

I am open to sharing and learning from all types of people. I am a teacher, a writer, and newly, an entrepreneur. Self proclaimed nerd and weeb. I hope to meet you and share memorable moments:)

I am from New York City originally and then I moved around a bit until I found myself finally leaving my country. Travel has been my life ever since. I have learned so much about myself from people that have been so seemingly different from me and I think this is so beautiful. I’ve lived in Asia for almost a decade, but I have been on a continuous journey since July 2023. Bangkok is the closest thing to home that I have❤️

I have just started logging back onto CS. Prior to my current time traveling, I was very in very isolating situations and my time and energy had to go to other things. Although I don’t have a home to offer, perhaps it may be nice to meet locals wherever I am in the world! I was ecstatic to see that the CS community has survived the times!

PHILOSOPHY
Live and let live.
No one can be you quite like you can. Be yourself.
Karma
Give the universe more positivity than you expect back.
I am a teacher and I love what I do; it is inspiring! I am a traveler who visits cultures and not just places. I am a writer who is passionate about celebrating the beauty of words. I am many things and many experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have hosted CSers in the past whenever I could. I have gone to CS meetups and little outings with other surfers. I honestly believe that CS has changed my life and I’m forever grateful! Ask me about it!

Interests

I am equal parts adventure seeker and homebody. However the mood strikes, I am either hiking mountains, cycling, and searching for abandoned gems or I am snuggled up to a movie or anime and snacks at home or the cinema; I’m definitely a movie-goer!
No matter if I am alone or with company, the most important thing is that I am doing something that makes my heart happy.
Oh and I love anime so any recommendations, discussions or even debates on the subject makes me happy hahaha

Music, Movies, and Books

Gone Girl and Dark Places by Gillian Flynn
Orwell- a must
Night - by Elie Wiesel
Movies: Gone Girl, Lilo & Stitch, and pretty much all Elevated horrors 🤤

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I honestly have to say that getting to the point in my life that I am at now from where I have started is pretty amazing. We all have our own challenges and struggles that make living this life worthwhile and beautiful.

I have hosted one surfer before for about a month and he stayed with me in my apartment in Moscow. Though it was a long time, he was a genuine soul and we were able to learn a lot from one another. We met at a couchsurfing gathering which is why he did not "surf" with me through the website. That experience really made me understand and appreciate what we all have to offer each other. If someone is in need, it really doesn't take much for us to offer help. A lot of times, we will find that the situation has helped us in a way as well.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a scientist at heart...and a writer by passion.
I’m very in touch with my own sense of spirituality. I’m not a religious person but I’m open minded to people’s views.
Im very much logic driven but a big part of me is inspired by the arts as well. I love meeting all types of artists and seeing them in their element.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My experiences, laughter, and positive energy... if thats not enough, I also love to bake! :)
I have also created a tabletop card game that is perfect for people to get to know each other. It would be my pleasure to share it with as many people as possible!
I also wouldn’t mind sharing my poetry if you love words!
