CURRENT MISSION
Keeping travel cheap.
ABOUT ME
I spent 20 years in the US Army as an intelligence analyst and one of the many things my time in the military taught me is that this world is full of interesting places and people. I’m a nice person and you can feel safe and comfortable staying in my home. I do my best to be a great hostess to my CouchSurfing guests. I enjoy meeting people of all ages from wherever, but if you just want a place to crash (and skip all the getting to know each other chit chat) that’s fine with me. My experience so far has been that everyone’s visit is just too short! You start getting to know each other and it’s already time for them to head back home.
PHILOSOPHY
Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family. Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one. ~Jane Howard
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I REALLY enjoy being a couch surfing host. South Florida is a beautiful place but getting a hotel can be very expensive. I like being able to help travelers to this area have a nice time without spending a fortune. I normally have plenty of time to show people around and drive them to the places they need or want to go, if they don't have a rental car.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I prefer a nice hotel, but some of my family members have had great expereices as couch surfers. They inspired me to support the cause. See Jill - I really do listen to you!

Music, Movies, and Books
At my age the music of my youth is known as Classic Rock. You know your getting old when they put the word "Classic" in front of something from your youth. I like a wide range of movies and books. I'm hooked on the shows "Boston Legal" and "Bones" on TV.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was a birth coach for a friend when her baby was born. As a woman it was amazing to watch that babies head come out.... I had to say "Ouch!". Still, it was such a moving experience to see a new life enter the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a genealogist so if you visit bring the information on your grandparents (approx birth year, birth state) and, if you're interested, we'll see if we can take your tree back a few generations. Give me an hour and no telling what we'll be able to find.
Countries I’ve Visited
Cayman Islands, Egypt, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, United Kingdom
Countries I’ve Lived In
