PHILOSOPHY

to understand what makes me tick first.. and what makes others tick as they relate to me :) My Religion is Traveling- I never feel more spirtual as I do when I take on a new adventure in a new country with a new culture.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Joined in December of 2010 while on a month long trip to Rio, Brasil (I take the month of December every year to experience a new city. I never heard of couchsurfing, but walking on Copacabana Beach, I walked into a Rio weekly meeting which had well over 100 members! I discovered two major things while in Brasil- the first was Samba- the second is Couchsurfing- both of which made this one of the best trips I've ever taken. I finally surfed a couch in Melbourne Australia and then got to surf a couch of a surfer who surfed my couch in San Diego while traveling in Avallon France! I have hosted a few surfers and I recommend you all do this as it's a most rewarding experience!. I am very active in the San Diego Couchsurfing community as I feel it's my duty to help travelers feel welcomed here, just as I was welcomed by the Rio couchsurfing community while traveling in Brasil, and then again while traveling through Australia and Europe in December of 2011 and Feb. of 2012.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a regular at the "Tipsy Tuesday" weekly San Diego meetings, I've arranged a couple of meet-ups. My hope is to get the San Diego Couchsurfing community as united as the Rio community. I was spoiled in Rio having Joined couchsurfing into such a strong group,I assumed every city had a couple hundred surfers ready to help and take on all travlers. The San Diego Bon fires Rock!! and we've had a couple meet ups pushing 80 surfers so I know we have the potential to be huge!
