About Me

My name is Joshi. I am from a small village in northern India 200 Km away from Indo-Nepal border in Himalayas. I like to travel and meet people from all age groups. I like to hear about different cultures, life styles, beliefs and I get happy to know that at our core we all are so similar.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new folks, know about people. Hotels give weird feelings and feel that you are a stranger. Staying with locals give a feeling like you are at a relative's home.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Old rock, rock n roll, metal, sufi. I like Coldplay, Metallica, Pearl Jam, NoirDésir(French), Édith Piaf(French), Budka Suflera(Polish), Marek Grechuta(Polish)

Books: I am not much into reading books, I like reading news though.
I have read Lord of the Rings complete book and maybe 3-4 other books but I don't remember fully.

Movies: I don't watch many movies but I like comedy movies. Horror movies usually I don't enjoy and they don't make me fearful but they irritate me.😀

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1) Walked through the jungle alone in night time where I heard tiger roars as well. One could almost pee in pants. Few years ago a small boy, the child of a person in my village was eaten by a tiger. Considering this it was quite dangerous and frightening for me too.

2) We were driving through Jungle of south India in Kerala with some friends of mine on car after getting drunk. We were lost on the road so we found a lonely building somewhere in a calm village. We drank at the gate of this building the remaining whisky we had and slept on the floor because we were too tired to go further. In morning we realised this building was a church when the father came to beat our ass. On top of it , we didn't know the local language.
