About Me

Hi! My name is Brad, and I'm originally from Chicago, USA. I just finished working at the 2025 Osaka World Expo! I was a Youth Ambassador at the USA Pavilion, and I was so happy to make a lot of friends from around the world! I often visited the China Pavilion, where I really enjoyed their many exhibitions on the many different provinces of China!

I've always been fascinated by Chinese culture, history, food, and society, so it's been my dream to visit China, and now I'm finally doing it! I plan to visit many different places, and I'm really looking forward to making a lot of new friends here! I have been studying Mandarin Chinese intermittently for about a year now, but I hope to improve a lot more during my time here.

After I graduated from university, I worked as an English teacher in Vietnam for about a year and a half. My passions are traveling, language learning, and drinking tea! I studied Japanese in university for 4 years, self-studied Vietnamese for 3 years, and I've been learning Mandarin with a tutor for the past year. I love visiting museums, hiking, and trying new foods. My biggest goal on my trip is to make good friends, so I hope we can get along well!
