About Me

I'm currently a graduate student at the Colorado School of Mines studying Underground Construction & Tunneling. I love the outdoors and try to get out whenever possible. I'm always down to go skiing, hiking, climbing, and camping. Grew up on the East Coast outside of NYC, went to undergrad at Bucknell in PA, and most recently lived in Philly before moving out to Colorado.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel and experience other places from a local's perspective, not just as a tourist.

While I'm new to Couchsurfing, I have a number of friends who have hosted and highly recommended it. I recently hosted two hitchhikers from Montreal, who were making their way across the US all the way to California. I just happened to run into them on my walk home one night. It was awesome hearing their story and I definitely wanted to pay it forward.

I've been fortunate to travel a lot growing up and studied abroad in Australia, Barbados, and Nicaragua. It's awesome to learn about different cultures and customs (especially since I'm 14th generation American).

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of my "go-to" artists are GRiZ, Gramatik, RÜFÜS, Bassnectar, Big Gigantic, Slumberjack, LDRU, and others. Enjoy camping music festivals, but also small intimate shows. It's incredible to go from seeing artists like GRiZ and Big G playing sold-out Red Rocks shows, to seeing them perform in smaller venues of only around 1,000.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my most memorable trips was to the island of Fiji. While the beaches, ocean, and air were incredible, it was the locals that really left a lasting impression on me. Hands-down some of the most genuine, friendly, and happy people I've ever met. They even taught me how to break open a coconut with my bare hands!

Teach, Learn, Share

A friend once told me that one of my biggest flaws is that I am interested in too many things- but I think that has some benefits. I'm definitely of the mindset that you never stop learning, and you can always find a way to connect with what you've experienced to enjoy life to the fullest.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I think sometimes it can be easy to forget some of the crazy and unique experiences each of us have, regardless of the location. I've always tried to keep life interesting and keep an open mind.
