Spend some time travelling! I have the time at the moment, the world seems to be re-opening post-pandemic, and I'm keen to see some new places and maybe revisit some old.

ABOUT ME

Travelled extensively but mostly way back before the Internet was a traveller's best friend! Would love to have had a site like CouchSurfing to use back then. In recent years I've done quite a lot of hosting at my home in Perth, all before the pandemic of course. Lots of good experiences with lots of people from all over the world. Now it's time to see how CouchSurfing works as a surfer!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Did a stint of hosting a while back and it was great fun meeting and hosting people from various countries. Having travelled a lot myself (but not as a couchsurfer) it was great to show people around my own city and to have other cultures and languages in my home. A few years ago I spent 6 weeks travelling and stayed with a few of the people who I had hosted - couchsurfing working at its best! Now I'm focusing purely on being a surfer, as I will be away from home for some extended travelling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted a number of times now, with visitors from various parts of the world and my hosting experiences have been nothing but positive! I've visited some of those couchsurfers who I stayed in touch with, but I am yet to do couchsurfing as a true surfer - contacting a host through the website and asking to stay. That's next on the list though!

Interests

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So many travel experiences fit here. Rather than pick one experience, I think travel itself is amazing. Deciding to take off and do some more of it, on my own, here in 2022, will hopefully become something amazing.
