About Me

Instagram: @eldiggz

G’day guys! My names Brad! I’m an aspiring actor/failed journalist. In May of 2019, my girlfriend Jemma and I quit our jobs as theme park performers to travel the world together for 8 months! If you’re reading this, it means we’re getting sick of each other and need to meet some new people!! I’m kidding, of course. We’re loving our journey so far but feel we need to be a bit more ‘intimate’ with the countries we’re visiting and stop staying in crappy hostels!

I’ve been travelling the world since 2015, spurred on by a tour of the USA with my family. Since then, I’ve travelled to Japan and China, Hong Kong, Europe, New Zealand, Fiji, Nepal, and then Europe again! Most of my trips were done fairly lavishly, however in my last trip to Europe, me and my friends travelled a bit more frugally, and now I want to explore as much of the world as I can!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people and explore new cultures, and to experience as much as I can in the place I am in!

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m somewhat of an amateur film critic... not a very good one, but I’m nevertheless very critical. My favourite movie is Fight Club, but I’ll recognise that Apocalypse Now is the best film ever made. I’ve watched Back to the Future at least 100 times, and am a huge sentimental fan of the Harry Potter series (even though most of the films aren’t really that well made).

I have a fairly varied taste in music. My favourite artist is John Mayer, a fan of Maroon 5(‘s early stuff... not that keen on their recent work), a big fan of modern hip-hop, but I’m also keen on blues to jazz to musical theatre.

When it comes to literature, I’m a sort of ‘wannabe’ book worm. I’ve got a LOT of classical novels on my shelves just waiting to be read, but I can’t muster the energy to read them! My favourite book is To Kill a Mockingbird.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hugged a Panda in Chengdu! There’s only one facility in the entire world where you can do so!

What I Can Share with Hosts
