About Me

Passionate skier, biker and hiker, love to be outside in all seasons no matter the weather. I've been living in Nelson 16 years and know where all the good adventures are and those that are not so well travelled. I've spent so much time climbing the surrounding peaks, camping in the woods, paddling the lakes and hiking the trails that I am sure there's something I can offer. Unless of course you just like to watch TV, sit on your butt and go shopping, then we won't have much to discuss. I work from home and try and get out to play every day. Adventure is core to my being and I love to travel so I'll surely quiz you on your adventures and we can compare notes over a meal or a walk.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll listen to pretty much anything but value the sound of silence most.

I'm a ravenous movie watcher but find it hard to find a truly good flick these days so if you have suggestions hit me up. Movie night with popcorn is about as good as it gets.

Any book about adventure (preferably Non-fiction) is my idea of a good read. Something that speaks to the human spirit, conquest and survival has my full attention.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

'Amazing' is a relative term. More like small memorable moments perhaps? I've built a house, have a son, travelled a lot, created a life that makes me smile, spend my working hours doing something I love and hopefully making the world a better place, tried to revive a dying man, lived lightly on this earth with a conscience and always questioned "why".

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to juggle, use an axe and be comfortable in nature (that last one will take some time however). I've taught for over 20 years and am happy to share my house and knowledge of the area. I ask a lot of questions and like to listen so hopefully you have some stories to share.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A place to stay and local knowledge of Nelson, BC and Canada as well as show you hikes, bike routes and backcountry skiing stashes. If you are travelling around BC, I can help with that too!

Australia, Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Iceland, Monaco, Nepal, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Sweden, Switzerland, United States
