Overview
About Me
Born in New Zealand, studied architecture in Wellington. I've been fortunate enough to spend four months travelling through South East Asia, Nepal and India (take me back!!) This was a wild experience, and I felt lucky to have months with no routine and the chance to explore some amazing parts of the world :) I’ve also lived in Hamburg, Germany for one and a half years which I managed to experience another culture on a deeper level and also challenge my own comfort zones and routines.
I love meeting new people, and good conversation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Whilst trekking Annapurna in Nepal, we were struck with heavy rain and being far from any tea houses we took shelter with some donkeys under a pergola. I saw the glow from a fire coming from a nearby house and suggested we go there to dry off. When entering the small house we encountered this old Nepali woman who spoke no english. Despite this, she gestured for us to sit, and began to brush embers towards us, and took our hands in hers; rubbing warmth back into them.
This was one of many examples I experienced of local hospitality, and why I decided to join couch surfers. If you're in need of some suggestions of things to do, a place to drink or whatever then I'd love to help :)
