About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To grow a pair of angel wings and travel around the world.

*[I just finished 2 years traveling in Asia/India and now I'm bicycling from Tijuana Mexico through Central & South America!]

ABOUT ME

I am 25 years old and absolutely love to travel! I went to the University of Southern California in LA and worked a corporate real estate job for a couple years, but found that I am so much happier when I'm not stuck in an office all day. Throughout the last 2 years I lived in Taiwan for 13 months teaching English and studying Chinese and then traveled all over SE Asia (Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Nepal, India) working on organic farms, surfing, trekking through the Himalayas, teaching ESL, and acquiring a yoga teacher certification.
Thi is my first bicycle tour. January 2015 I bought a used touring bike in San Diego and have cruised down through Mexico, Central America, and South America. I have no time frame....I just want to cycle, camp outside, volunteer on permaculture farming projects, teach ESL, teach yoga, climb mountains, surf, and practice Spanish.
I enjoy a good beer or wine now and then but I don't smoke cigarettes. I love vegetarian food, but I eat ANYTHING when I travel (I've eaten snakes in Cambodia & pig brain soup in Taiwan so aka: I am not picky!).
My only allergies are to penicillin medication.

I am an American citizen - but born in Japan because my father was a Navy pilot. I have lived in Japan, Italy, America (Los Angeles, Seattle, Montana, Rhode Island), Taiwan, and have traveled all over North America, Europe and Asia.

My best friends would say that I am incredibly positive, intelligent, compassionate, considerate, ethical, ambitious, adventurous, eccentric, creative, and fun!

I'm the kind of person who wants to leave the planet a better place than I found it. I want to instill great change and heal myself and the world - help every living being to enjoy longer, happier, healthier lives in a state of peace.

Thank you for reading! I look forward to meeting you! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I wish to surf couches around the world in order to be a traveler and not a tourist. I love to meet new & interesting people, run into crazy adventures and give back by offering a helping hand and ultimately offering up a couch whenever I have one.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been so blessed to surf couches all over California, Asia, and Latin America - you simply do not meet the same kinds of wonderful people on a tour bus or in a hotel that you do when you couchsurf.

Interests

I love art, creativity, writing, film making, acting, photography, painting, reading, YOGA, gardening, music festivals & concerts, clubbing, dancing, surfing, snowboarding, skiing, skateboarding, travelling, running, cooking, hiking, camping, biking, exploring, and mountain climbing.

3 Moments that left me awestruck:

Standing before one of the top 10 tallest mountains in the world in the Himalayan range, Nepal.
Jumping out of an airplane to skydive for my 18th birthday present.
Looking up at Michaelangelo's Sistine Chapel while living in Italy.
