About Me
For the past couple of years I've been working up at a hot spring retreat center and commune. I love seeing a large core group of people every day and building deep relationships with them, but still having hundreds of guests come every day and new facing revolving through and making new connections.
I recently worked in the United States Post office as a letter carrier. That was intense, walking around delivering mail for 12-14 hours a day 6 days a week.
I'm all about learning about how communities and people can live together in the best way possible.
I love meeting new people and doing fun things. I both enjoy solitude and relaxing, as well as getting up and going on adventures. I think it's fascinating understanding other people and their perspectives, and how and why people think and act how they do.
I don't tend to drink or use substances, although I have no problems with others doing so.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have used Couchsurfing to find places in Mexico, California, and the East Coast of the United States.
Having been a while since I've used couchsurfing, I'm trying to get back into it to meet new people and enrich my traveling experience. I feel like connections with other people are one of the most precious things when traveling, or just life in general
Interests
I am curious about just about everything and love learning new things.
I'm really into traditional and folk styles of withcraft and shamanism, and spiritual practices are super interesting to me.
I tend to be pretty active, but also enjoy relaxing as well. Really like good food and eating. I tend to gravitate towards hiring quality, healthier foods.
I have some experience playing guitar, violin, piano, and accordion, but by no means am a good musician. Always down to jam and mess around when the opportunity arises, though.

Music, Movies, and Books
Like all kinds of music, but more recently I've gotten into more "jammy" bands like: shapeskin, khruangbin, and others. The mongolian band The Hu is really cool. Tend not to like poppy contemporary "country" music (taylor swift, etc..), and hip hop.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have sailed across the sea of cortez in a 16 foot sailboat. I've hitchhiked across the US. have travelled a bit in central America, went scuba diving off the coast of Nicaragua. Used to work at the United States post office as a mailman.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've done a little bit of construction work. Done all sorts of odd jobs like cooking and cleaning, digging holes, landscaping, etc..
I went down to Guatemala and took a month of Spanish lessons, so I am able to speak a little bit of Spanish
I have rudimentary knowledge of music theory and love to jam on pretty much any instrument that's available.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I like to give my full attention to other people. I like to help out with chores or other mundane things, sometimes it doesn't matter what we're doing, just spending time with someone can be a good experience.
I'm a good adventure buddy. I tend not to get too stressed out or anxious about things, and am pretty easy to flow with.
