ABOUT ME

My mission in life is very simple: experience as much as I can, while also finding a way to give back to others.
In life, I genuinely believe that education is freedom. Not only do I constantly strive to educate myself in various areas, but I also love to share my knowledge with others. This has led to me becoming a teacher, both at home (in Los Angeles) and abroad (currently in Spain). and it has been extremely rewarding for me to be able to pass on my knowledge and passion for education and learning on to my students. I am also currently trying to learn and experience as much as possible from others, and I love experiencing new people, cultures, and varying ways of life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Until a friend who is a member here told me about CS, I did not know anything like this existed. I had always thought 'wouldn't it be great if with the internet there is a way to travel and meet people without having to stay in corporate hotels'. And here it is.
I just recently met some fellow couchsurfers whose stories and experiences overwhelmingly convinced me to finally join. I am open to host surfers, and I am also looking for some couches to sleep on as I travel throughout Europe this year. I'd love to experience new places with the guidance of a local, as I believe insider knowledge can be the difference between just visiting a city or truly experiencing what a city is all about.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I've only had second-hand experiences through friends who have either couchsurfed themselves or hosted fellow couchsurfers, but I am beyond excited to hopefully either host someone or be hosted in the near future!

Interessi

I pretty much enjoy anything and everything outdoors. Kayaking, surfing, mountain biking, cycling, hiking, backpacking, scuba diving, bungee jumping, skiing, snowboarding, stand up paddle-boarding, rafting, bouldering, longboarding. The list could go on for days, but I think you get the point :)
I also enjoy live music, photography, eating new foods, and meeting new people.

Musica, film e libri

I love music and have a very wide range of genres. i like anything from hip hop like Macklemore, Chiddy Bang, Common, Kanye West, and Justin Timberlake to Indie Rock bands like Two Door Cinema Club, Local Natives, The Postal Service, Yeasayer and many, many more. I pretty much listen to every type of music.. Except Reggaeton. Not a fan.
I'm also a fan of a lot different movies, but I prefer comedy movies and interesting documentaries.
As far as books are concerned, I often prefer non-fiction books about inspiring people and/or circumstances. I also often read books to educate myself on a variety of topics I previously didn't know much about.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Kayaking and swimming in the bioluminescent bay on Vieques Island in Puerto Rico. Google it. It's an amazing, somewhat surreal experience.

Insegna, impara, condividi

As I said before, I'm currently an English teacher in Spain, so if you want to practice and improve your English I am always happily ready to teach anything you might want to know. Also, I can teach almost any sport ( surfing, kayaking, american football, basketball, volleyball, snowboarding, skateboarding, kickball, dodgeball, tennis, longboarding, etc.)

I would love to learn more Spanish and am obviously working on it every day while I'm living and teaching in Spain. Also, I can play a little guitar, but I'd love to get better and learn new styles / songs.
