About Me

*** the Metra that connects my place to Washington DC will be shut down under construction until mid-September 2019. This makes my location in Alexandria much more difficult to get to/from. The closures are only on the Yellow and Blue lines south of Regan National DCA. If you are wanting to visit DC, my recommendation would be to find something north or east of DCA. I will still try to be available for short term emergency stays for Alexandria.

CURRENT MISSION

The World needs a few more Good Karma ideas like this.

ABOUT ME

I actually met my wife through Couchsurfing! We used to surf all the time, but it' been a couple years and we are ready to start up again. We are currently in Alexandria, Va. right outside Washington DC.

I am planning on adding some new pictures of her and our place, but she is in my references below and here is her Couch surfing profile:http://www.couchsurfing.org/profile.html?id=49CLA3P (Miew from Bangkok)

PHILOSOPHY

There are two types of people on this earth: those that Dream and those that Do, but the world is only lived by those who Do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Often times we don't really need a place to stay, but will still look people up from various cities we are in to get good firsthand info from locals.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had a few couchsurf with me, once I even left my keys for someone I had never met when I was on holiday and I have couchsurfed a few times in Finland and the UK.

Interests

Well, travel is my number one interest. I love to visit new places and meet people from all over the world. Who on this site doesn't? I've been to over 125 countries.

I have also been collecting art for the last decade. It started with gig prints (concert posters since I followed Phish around for awhile) but evolved and is still evolving into more art prints. I will sometimes fly to shows around Europe and the US and currently consider Shepard Fairey, Banksy, Faile, Emek and Jeff Wood among my favorites.. (google a few of those if interested)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wow, just one? I guess one thing I've seen that was amazing was Maachu Picchu in Peru..stunning. One thing amazing I did was scuba dive with about 25 sharks off St. Maarten.
