About Me

Hey! My name's Brad - I'm 29 and from England, UK. I'm an English Teacher and Football Coach, currently living and working in Hoi An, Vietnam.

I love to travel, meet new people and share new experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really enjoy travelling to a new place and meeting people who live there already, I find this to be a good way of experiencing a destination from a different perspective.

I enjoy spending time and exploring places with like-minded people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite films include:
- The Batman Trilogy (Christopher Nolan) [I love Batman as he is a hero, with no actual super powers! I can explain this better in person, haha]
(Most films directed by Christopher Nolan in fact!)
- Lost in Translation
- The Way
- Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, Before Midnight
[I enjoy films that make me think, but I believe films are a great way to escape day-to-day life and also inspire a person]

Favourite artists include:
- The Rolling Stones
- The Strokes
- Gui Boratto
[My favourite music usually is guitar based, but I have an eclectic taste; techno, hip-hop, folk etc. - I'll listen to just about anything that sounds good :)]

Favourite books include:
- The Great Railway Bazaar (Paul Theroux)
- The Road Headed West (Leon McCarron)
- The Art of Happiness (Dalai Lama and Howard C. Cutler)
[I mostly enjoy books about travel, self-improvement and history]

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing... hmmm... it's difficult to write something like this I feel.

I will say working on a banana farm in the tropics of Australia for 3 months was a pretty amazing experience for me! Hard work, but a fantastic experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

TEACH
As a professional English teacher, I can of course help to improve your English language skills. I can also help to teach:
- the basics of chess
- juggling
- the basics of Vietnamese
- swimming
- football (soccer) skills
- rolling a cigarette!

LEARN
I love to learn new things, I believe it is important to constantly learn and appreciate new things. I am interested in learning:
- any new language (of course, probably just the basics)
- a musical instrument (I would like to learn the piano)
- singing

SHARE
Sharing is very important and for me, the cornerstone of humanity. I will gladly share what I have (material possessions and also thoughts, ideas) with a new person - I like to give.
- I love to share stories with people
- I also love to share new experiences with people and hear their different opinions on things

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will gladly share anything that I have with a new friend, be that the material possessions I own at the time or my thoughts and ideas on certain subjects/topics.
