Overview
About Me
I'm a young kid trying to make the most of life. I come from a small town in Washington State and worked hard so I could adventure and see more of the world. I am attempting to double-major in Political Science and Economics and minor in Analytical Finance at Gonzaga University. I hope to join the Peace Corp when I graduate and live around the world helping others.
My three favorite quotes:
"What would you do today, if you knew you could not fail?"
"Adventure begins when you step outside of your comfort zone."
"There's no such thing as a small act of kindness."
I also made a movie about my previous summer just messing around with a GoPro: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_vYnfhbYyM
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As seen above, I am a college student currently studying abroad in Madrid, Spain. As a college student, I am a bit short on funds. But that is not the real reason why I am on this site. I understand that this network is a community of members who all have the same ambition of traveling the world (and hopefully making friends along the way). I want to experience more than just a trip to some unknown land. I want to dive into the culture.
Interests
I play a lot of sports including futbol, American football, baseball, and running. I also build muscle cars back home in the states. I have built a 1996 corvette, a 1969 VW beetle (both cars for friends), and am currently working on my 1971 Pontiac LeMans that I bought when I was 16. I enjoy travel, however, I have lacked opportunity and resources to do so until now. I also volunteer often through my school, church , and local organizations.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I listen to just about everything (I dance and sing as well; however, I am not good at either).
Movies: I love action films, but then again I watch a lot of different movies. My favorite being either "The Sandlot" or "Limitless."
Books: My English-teacher father has taught me the importance of reading and I have read a wide variety of books ranging from fiction to Romance to Sci-fi and more. I am currently reading two books on financial investing as this whole "real world" concept they tell us college students is beginning to scare me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I RV'd around the United States and have been to 43 of the 50 states.
Teach, Learn, Share
As I've said previously, I love to learn about people. There is a lot to learn from different cultures and people and I hope my adventures in this life lead me to as many new experiences as possible. I want to learn more than just the best attractions of a city. I want to learn about the people, the food, the language, and the hobbies of the area.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I hope to share my personal experiences with what little I know about life. My culture, my past, and what I've learned. There can be a lot of poor connotations around the words "college kid" and I hope I have the chance to break that mold.
